Want to see Vienna from above but not sure where to go? Well look no further! We have compiled a list of our top spots to see Vienna from so that you can experience the beauty of Viennese architecture from a new angle.
- The Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel– Included with the Vienna Pass this massive wheel offers unparalleled views all over the city. As one of the city’s most iconic landmarks since 1900 it guarantees a panoramic view of all of Vienna. At 65 metres high this is definitely one of the best ways to view Vienna from above and is an adventure in itself.
- The rooftop of the Natural History Museum – Admission into the museum is included with the Vienna Pass so why not extend your visit and go to the roof. The museum is surrounded by famous landmarks and though the building is tall enough to give you a wide view of the surrounding attractions, it is not too tall that you miss the intricate details in the architecture. It has a great view of St Stephen’s Cathedral as well!
- Danube Tower – This tower has an observation deck specially designed to offer panoramic views of the city. At 826 feet tall it is the tallest building in Austria and features a rotating restaurant! There is an open air platform from which you can look at Vienna from a unique perspective. If you are looking for an unspoilt view of all of Vienna this is the place for you.
- The North Tower of St Stephen’s Cathedral – The cathedral is nestled in the very heart of Vienna, giving you views of the very core of the bustling city. The beautifully tiled roof is a view in itself plus you get a distinctive view of the pedestrian area in the historic city centre!
